Elbow Pain

Elbow pain is commonly found in people who are active tennis, golf or baseball players. The repetitive motion at the wrist and arm for these sports can cause tendon strain, microscopic tears and continual inflammation of the tendons linking the forearm muscles to the bony protuberances of the elbow called epicondyles. Osteoarthritis is another frequent condition resulting in chronic elbow pain and inflammation.

Many of those afflicted by elbow pain from these common injuries may be outstanding candidates for regenerative cell therapy.

STEM CELLS OR PRP FOR ELBOW PAIN

Regenerative Medicine advancements allow us to provide our patients with natural treatments that utilize their own adult stem cells to jumpstart their own body’s restorative functions -- thereby relieving chronic pain, reducing or removing the need for medications or other treatments, and enabling patients to return to  a healthy, active and fulfilling lifestyle.

There is documented research data corroborating the utility of either a preparation derived from your own blood (Platelet Rich Plasma/PRP) or your own bone marrow (Bone Marrow Concentrate/BMC) for the treatment of  tendonitis related over-use injuries.

Usual initial conservative therapy for pain at the elbow is to rest the arm and use over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen, to allow for healing. More invasive interventions for severe cases of elbow pain vary from corticosteroid injections to tendon debridement and surgical release.

Interestingly though, outside research and clinical experience have reinforced that cellular therapy provides a natural mechanism of healing at the elbow. Regenerative therapy can help you reduce the need for  invasive surgical procedures and help you put pain behind you and return to activity sooner.

A therapeutic infusion created from your own blood or bone marrow injected at the injury site can stimulate and bolster your natural healing process. This can lead to significant impact and healing without the need for more invasive treatments. And with minimal recovery time, this means that you will be able to return to action in no time!

Conditions Treated

  • Arthritis of the Elbow

  • Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)

  • Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis)

  • Baseball pitcher's elbow

FDA APPROVAL

All of our biological procedures are performed with either Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or bone marrow derived stem cells (BMC) on the same day with minimal manipulation and homologous use of BMC.  We strive to be compliant with the latest relevant FDA Guidance Documents at all times.
